MotoGP 2026 – Championship standings after the Brazilian Grand Prix

After a particularly difficult Friday, Marco Bezzecchi managed to win at the Goiânia circuit, marking the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix to the calendar. The Italian, now on a four-race winning streak, takes the lead in the world championship, ahead of his teammate Jorge Martín. Having been injured for most of the 2025 season, and unable to even feed himself two months ago, the 2024 world champion now sits second in the championship after his first Grand Prix podium finish since securing the title.

Leading the championship before arriving in Goiânia, Pedro Acosta is holding firm in third position, ahead of the Ducatis of Fabio di Giannantonio and Marc Márquez. The Italian, who started from pole position on Saturday in the Sprint and on Sunday in the race, therefore has the honor of being the top-placed Ducati rider in the overall standings.

Eleventh, Johann Zarco overtakes fabio quartararo to take the place of best Frenchman in the standings. The Nice native riding for Yamaha now drops to sixteenth place in the overall standings, after a particularly difficult Grand Prix, despite starting from the second row of the grid.
