Le MotoGP continues to grow in popularity, and therefore attracts more and more fans to the circuits. In 2024, MotoGP will not only break its attendance record for an event, but also for an entire season.
Over the entire 2024 season, 3 people showed up at the circuit gates. A great improvement compared to last year (033 million). The French Grand Prix retains its leading position, with nearly 250 entries over the entire weekend.
The Grand Prix held at Le Mans was also the only one to have reached the 100 spectator mark on Sunday, with 000 people present around the circuit to watch the intense battle for victory between Jorge Martin, Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia.
Many venues are approaching 200 entries over three days, but this milestone has only been reached by the German and Thai GPs, in addition to France.
Four events still have less than 100 spectators over the entire weekend. The Australian GP (000), just ahead of the races held in Emilia Romagna (90) and Japan (685). The last on the list is none other than the Qatar GP. The opening round of the 82 MotoGP season, hosted by the Losail circuit, only welcomed 024 spectators.
It should be remembered that of the twenty-two events initially planned, the Grand Prix of India, Kazakhstan and Argentina were cancelled. A second race organised in Misano in September allowed the number of events to be maintained at 20. The event renamed the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna, however, attracted far fewer spectators to the site. A logical figure, two weeks separating the two competition weekends.
