Bagnaia ambitious for 2025: "If there are 20 races, I can win 20"

Bagnaia thirsty for victories - Ducati

Pecco Bagnaia's schedule has been busy this winter, but the Italian has had some time to reassess himself after his defeat to Jorge Martín in Barcelona last November.

In 2025, he will take on a new challenge against Marc Marquez, who will be his teammate at Ducati. Equipped with the GP25, Ducati's future machine, the two riders are already considered the two favorites for the title.

Despite everything, Bagnaia is not only wary of the Spaniard, and thinks that the next season will be more competitive than it was last year. During these few weeks of off-season, the number 63 took the opportunity to recharge his batteries before attacking the upcoming campaign.

At the beginning of January, the double world champion of MotoGP took over the track with the Ranch de Valentino Rossi. Along with 45 other drivers, they are competing in the traditional 100 km champions race around the Italian's double oval.

"My winter was a fairy tale. The honeymoon was much more beautiful than I expected, the latter confided to the microphone of Skysport at the Tavullia Ranch, after spending a few weeks in Los Angeles. I relaxed over the winter to be ready for the season. »

“We are coming back to riding motorcycles. What we love the most. It will be a fun and very challenging season for everyone, He continues. There are more and more races and the competition is growing. Aprilia, with two riders like Martin and Bezzecchi, will be able to be fast. I am happy that [Marco Bezzecchi] is part of an official team. Aprilia deserved such a rider."

Bagnaia hopes to repeat feat in 2025

The Italian does not exclude the third factory in the championship from this fight, but believes that the latter could be impacted in their results by the financial crisis experienced by the group.

"KTM, we will have to see with the difficult winter they had, continues Bagnaia. But the riders he has are very strong. Yamaha and Honda will grow. We have to think about what was done wrong last year and try to do better."

Having won eleven of the twenty rounds held last season, it seems difficult for Bagnaia to do better in this area. However, the Italian believes that he is able to repeat this feat, or even do even more.

“It’s reproducible. You always have to do better. If there are 20 races, that means you can win 20. I'm not the only one making mistakes. Fortunately, I do a lot of self-analysis. Despite my honeymoon, I've been thinking a lot about certain moments of last season. »

If for the moment Bagnaia is competing in a race with little at stake with other MotoGP riders at Valentino Rossi's, the first official rides of the 2025 MotoGP season are fast approaching. In a few weeks, the Italian will already be back on his Ducati on the Sepang circuit. As part of the 2025 pre-season tests.
