The 2025 Thailand Grand Prix marked Marc Marquez's strong comeback in MotoGP. The Spaniard having signed a pole position on the Buriram circuit, before taking victories in Sprint, and in Main Race. The Spaniard has, in doing so, not only won his 63rd victory in MotoGP, but has also equaled several historical records.
Pedrosa's equal
Marc Marquez took his third victory in Thailand, following his successes in 2018 and 2019. This victory allowed him to equal the legendary Dani Pedrosa in third place in the ranking of riders with the most podiums in MotoGP, with a total of 112. Ahead of him are Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
For the first time since 2014, Marquez has won the opening Grand Prix of a MotoGP season. A great start for the Spaniard, who seems to have rediscovered his former form.
Marc Marquez, a unique longevity
With this victory, Marc Marquez moves up to second place among the riders with the longest winning careers in MotoGP. His career in victories now spans 11 years and 315 days. From his first victory in the Americas in 2013, to this triumph in Thailand in 2025. Only Valentino Rossi still beats him with a winning career of 16 years and 351 days.
Ducati, an unprecedented domination
Ducati's victory in Thailand marks their 18th consecutive Grand Prix win, a impressive run that brings them closer to Honda's record of 22 consecutive victories between the 1997 Malaysian Grand Prix and the 1998 Dutch TT.
Italian driver Francesco Bagnaia confirmed his consistency on the Buriram circuit, finishing third in the main race. He thus secured his fourth consecutive podium on the Thai circuit.
Ai Ogura, a promising rookie
Japanese rookie Ai Ogura impressed with a fifth-place finish on his MotoGP debut, the best result for a rookie on his premier class debut since Marc Marquez's third place in Qatar in 2013.
