At fabio quartararo and Yamaha, we are ready for the French Grand Prix. We are even eagerly awaiting this sixth round of the world championship. Indeed, two weeks ago, in Jerez, "El Diablo" tasted the joys of the podium again in MotoGP. Something that hadn't happened to him since... 2022.
Following this, the French rider, still on the same Spanish circuit, completed a conclusive official test. Now fully fueled, he's ready to push his limits once again on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans. Currently 6th overall, Quartararo is determined to continue his momentum. And why not secure a second consecutive podium finish? As a reminder, the Nice rider has already ridden a gearbox in Le Mans. That was in 2021, already with Yamaha.
“I'm delighted to have secured pole and second place in Jerez before this round. Le Mans "It's a very special race for me: it's my home Grand Prix and I'll be cheered on by many fans. No matter how many times I've been there, I still get goosebumps when the national anthem is sung on the starting grid.", assures the Frenchman in a press release.
Quartararo: "I can't wait to see how the new engine performs"
"But we have to focus on the work at hand this weekend. The positive results achieved during the race weekend and the Jerez tests have been a real boost for the team.", he says again. “I’m excited to see how the new engine performs at Le Mans. I can’t wait to get started!”, concludes Quartararo.
Meanwhile, Monster Energy Yamaha team principal Max Meregalli is equally eager for the weekend. “The Le Mans GP is one of the best-organized events on the MotoGP calendar thanks to the excellent work of the promoter every year. Over the years, we have seen attendance records broken here. This could be an added bonus for Fabio, as it is his home GP.”, finally believes the Italian leader.
