Yamaha and fabio quartararo are preparing to dive into the action of the Grand Prix of Qatar, the last intercontinental meeting before the start of the European tour of MotoGPAn event that promises to be a hotly contested one, with many issues at stake.

Currently 12th in the overall standings, Fabio Quartararo hopes to capitalize on the improvements seen in Austin (USA). In the Sprint, he achieved his best result of the season with a sixth place, positioning himself as the best non-Ducati rider.. Despite a chaotic GP, the Frenchman remains optimistic about the settings of his M1.

“Lusail was usually the first circuit we visited, but this year the order changed, confides the Frenchman. That's why we feel like we haven't been here for a long time, especially because we didn't do any pre-season testing."

For this weekend, the Frenchman expects a Grand Prix made challenging by both the weather conditions and the increased competition. If Jorge Martin's return goes as planned, and the Spaniard immediately finds his feet on his Aprilia, the top 10 could also welcome an additional contender.

"We know we can expect higher temperatures than at last year's GP, He continues. Because this time we're going here in April. I'm expecting a hot GP weekend and a long race, but I'm looking forward to it."

After a complicated weekend in Austin, the French team will therefore have to capitalize on the lessons learned from the previous race. “We didn’t get the results we wanted in Austin, but we saw some positives, especially in the Sprint. So I’m looking forward to trying again this weekend, even though I know the competition will be tough.” concludes Fabio Quartararo.
