And that makes five for Marco Bezzecchi. In the United States, the Italian secured his fifth consecutive victory in MotoGP, just like Marc Márquez and Valentino Rossi before him. But unlike his predecessors, the Aprilia rider did it by leading each of the 121 laps on the program of these races, which constitutes a new record.

The two-place grid penalty he received for impeding Marc Márquez in Q2 did nothing to deter the Italian rider. While Pedro Acosta led into Turn 1, Bezzecchi needed only 10 corners to seize the lead, thanks to a fierce battle that cost him his rear wing. In any case, he never relinquished it. Undefeated since the start of the season, Marco Bezzecchi becomes the first rider to win the opening three races of a championship since Marc Márquez in 2014.

Behind him, as in Brazil, Jorge Martín secured a one-two finish for Aprilia. After spending much of the race tucked in behind Pedro Acosta, he found an opening at Turn 1. Although he briefly closed the gap to his teammate, he was never close enough to make a move. Pedro Acosta, meanwhile, clinched the podium finish he had been denied in the Sprint class after receiving a penalty for exceeding tire pressure limits.

Disappointment for Ogura and the French

Pole sitter Fabio Di Giannantonio finished fourth after a solitary race. Behind the Italian, however, there was plenty of action. In the final laps, Pecco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini, and Marc Márquez engaged in a fierce battle for fifth place, which was ultimately secured by the nine-time world champion after resisting the Tech3 rider's attacks right to the end.

This is his second-worst finish in an Austin race, after his 6th place in 2022. However, the #93 driver had to complete a Long Lap penalty during the race, which slowed him down. Once overtaken by the two leaders, Pecco Bagnaia plummeted down the order to finish the race in 10th position.

Ai Ogura could have aimed for the podium if a mechanical issue hadn't prevented him. Joan Mir crashed before the halfway point of the race, continuing his series of crashes in Texas, which began during the Sprint of the 2023 United States Grand Prix.

On the French side, Johann Zarco crashed on the second lap, ending his hopes of scoring points after having netted a point in the Sprint. Meanwhile, fabio quartararo He had a difficult start from 16th position. While the four Yamahas finished in the last four positions, he finished in 17th place, ahead of his teammate Álex Rins but behind the two Pramac riders.
