The 2023 season calendar MotoGP has just been communicated by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). As initially planned for 2022, 21 Grands Prix are on the program.

Among the major new features, we note the arrival of Kazakhstan on the Sokol circuit, announced at the beginning of the week, andIndia at the Buddh International Circuit, confirmed a little earlier this Friday (the circuit is subject to approval).

On the list of absentees, MotorLand Aragon is no longer on the program. There will therefore only be three events left in Spain, compared to four until now. Another point to note is that the Finnish GP is no longer on the calendar.

As agreed, the Portugal will therefore kick off the season on the Portimão circuit from March 24 to 26. It will be the first time that a European GP will open the calendar since 2006 with the Spanish GP in Jerez.

The following weekend, the paddock will set down in Argentina (Termas de Rio Hondo), then in the United States (CotA) two weeks later before returning to the Old Continent. The second half of the season will include two “triple-headers” with several events in Asia-Pacific: a first Indonesia/Australia/Thailand trio and a second Malaysia/Qatar/Valencia; both being punctuated by a week of rest. Valencia will therefore conclude the season on November 26, 2023.

Obviously, this calendar is provisional and may evolve depending on the health situation around the world or the geopolitical context.
