j-Pecco Bagnaia has had a difficult start to the 2025 season in MotoGP. Largely dominated by his teammate in Thailand, the latter repeated the feat at the Argentine Grand Prix. This time, however, the Italian was even further behind Marc Marquez at the finish, as he was unable to do better than fourth place at Termas de Rio Hondo.

Starting from the second row, Bagnaia made a good start, moving up to third place by the first corner. However, he was unable to maintain this position, losing it to Franco Morbidelli on lap four, as his compatriot had started the race on softer tires.

At the end of the race, Morbidelli was struggling with his tires, but Pecco Bagnaia was unable to overpower the VR46 driver and regain his position. Despite this result falling short of his expectations, the Italian driver remains confident for the rest of the championship.

"We closed the gap over the weekend, but it wasn't enough, confides the Italian at the end of the weekend. Today in the race, my pace was quite similar to the top two, but I couldn't keep up with them. I lost a bit of time to Franky and Johann. But I wasn't fast enough to finish on the podium. »

"I know it's going to be a long process and how important it is to stay calm in this situation, He continues. Last year, at this stage of the season, I had fewer points. I know how important it is to finish races. I don't want to take too many risks in these situations. »

Pecco Bagnaia turned towards Austin

Currently third in the championship, 31 points behind Marc Márquez, Bagnaia remains optimistic about his chances of moving up the standings. "I'm working hard and I'll continue like this to solve the problems. I won't be in this position all season, I'll come back."

The next round of the MotoGP championship will take place in two weeks in Austin, where Bagnaia hopes to return to the podium and reduce the gap to the Márquez brothers.

"I still miss the feeling I had last year, even though the two bikes are very similar, but we're working on it and we'll try to take another step forward in Austin. We have to stay focused." concludes I'm sorry Bagnaia.
