Marc Márquez is back on the top step of the podium in MotoGPThe Ducati rider, who hadn't won a Sprint race since the 2025 Catalan Grand Prix, secured his 16th victory on Saturday at the Brazilian Grand Prix. He thus equals Jorge Martín's record as the most successful rider in this format.
Starting from pole position, Fabio Di Giannantonio had nevertheless managed to maintain his advantage at the start. Helped by a superb start from fabio quartararoHe had time to pull away from Marc Márquez and Marco Bezzecchi, who lost time behind the Yamaha. The Spaniard, however, quickly closed the gap to the leader. Gaining tenths of a second each time, he rejoined the VR46 rider on lap 11. He launched his attack three laps from the finish, before pulling away to victory.

Behind them, Marco Bezzecchi made a mistake mid-race, allowing his teammate, Jorge Martín, to move into the provisional podium. The 2024 world champion managed to hold onto the position until the end of the race, marking his return to the Sprint podium, a feat he hadn't achieved since the 2024 Solidarity Grand Prix. Bezzecchi (4th) and Ogura (5th) ensured Aprilia had three bikes in the top five.

After a successful start, Fabio Quartararo encountered the limitations of his Yamaha. Overtaken successively by his rivals, the Frenchman nevertheless managed to score his first Sprint points of the season, securing 6th place, ahead of the Ducatis of Álex Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia.
Starting 14th on the grid, local star Diogo Moreira got off to a superb start. He was already in 9th place after the first lap. Overtaken mid-race by Pedro Acosta, the local rider narrowly missed out on points in front of his home crowd.
The other Frenchman on the grid, Johann Zarco, lost four positions at the start. After a difficult start in the pack, the rider from Cannes suffered an unfortunate crash on lap 8, prematurely ending his Sprint. Joan Mir and Maverick Viñales also crashed during this Brazilian Grand Prix Sprint.
