The pilots of MotoGP have expressed their support for Jorge Martín after his injury. The opening of the 2025 MotoGP season in Thailand will indeed be marked by the notable absence of the reigning world champion. The Spanish rider, who recently left Ducati Pramac to join Aprilia, has suffered a series of unfortunate crashes during his preparation.
After an initial incident during pre-season testing in Sepang, Martín crashed again in training, fracturing his radius, several bones in his left carpus and his heel. These injuries forced him to miss not only the inaugural Grand Prix in Thailand, but also the one in Argentina.
Faced with this situation, the MotoGP riders have reacted with empathy towards their colleague and rival. Marc Márquez, who has himself experienced difficult injuries, shared his advice with the reigning world champion. "I spoke to Jorge," Marquez said. "Based on my bad experience, I told him, it doesn't matter if you miss five or six races. You're young, you still have your whole career ahead of you. Listen to your body. We won't have the world champion with us for the first race, but I wish him a good return."

Pecco Bagnaia's message of support for Jorge Martín
Marco Bezzecchi, his teammate at Aprilia, also took the time to send a message to his teammate. "I tried to put myself in his shoes, and normally I don't like it when people ask me what happened or anything. So I just sent him a message, wishing him courage and a good recovery," he said.
Pecco Bagnaia, for his part, sent a message to his great rival for the title in 2024. “It will be strange to drive on the circuit. We need the number 1 on the track. I wish him a speedy recovery.”
In his reflections on this difficult time, Jorge Martín shared his feelings on social networks: "The blows are always hard, but when they come one after the other, the impact is multiplied." However, he remains determined to make a full recovery before returning to competition. Until he returns, Lorenzo Savadori will replace him in the first races of the season.
