First positive test for Marquez

Last Saturday evening, on the sidelines of the German GP, the Repsol Honda team released a first press release regarding the convalescence of Marc Marquez. Two weeks after his operation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester in the United States, the eight-time world champion underwent a first check-up at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid.

“Today I had a medical check-up in Madrid and the doctors are satisfied,” reassures Marquez. My arm is immobilized and will be like this for the next few weeks. My impressions so far are positive, because I don't have the slightest pain, which is very important. This allows me to rest and follow the doctors' instructions: a healthy diet, drinking plenty of fluids and trying to spend time with my dogs, because it is important that the body is not passive. The most important recommendation from my doctors is that I should remain calm and patient. »

The medical team advised him to continue controlled exercise for the next four weeks. After which he will undergo another follow-up examination. “Marc Marquez underwent a medical examination in Madrid with Dr. Antuña, Dr. Cotorro and myself, confirming a positive evolution of the surgical wound,” said Dr. Sanchez Sotelo. Starting today, he will begin performing controlled passive shoulder and elbow mobilization exercises until a follow-up visit in four weeks. »

At the Sachsenring, Alberto Puig, team manager of the official Honda team, declared on the microphone of Dazn that he hoped to be able to count on Marquez before the close of the calendar (from Misano according to some rumors) so that he could test the new RC213V with a view to the 2023 season, but isn't that a little too optimistic?
