Quartararo, already focused on Silverstone

Passionate of Formula 1, fabio quartararo was present on the Paul Ricard circuit last weekend to attend the French GP, 12th meeting of the 2022 calendar.

On this occasion, the Niçois submitted to the question/answer game on Canal+. “It starts again in two weeks,” he recalled on Margot Laffite’s microphone on Saturday evening in the show On pole. It feels good to decompress a little and go to the French F1 GP. I'm a big F1 fan and it always makes me happy to come to a race whenever I have a free weekend. It's great to come and enjoy this GP. »

200 spectators came to Paul Ricard over the weekend, almost as many as to the Bugatti circuit during the French GP MotoGP last May (225). Being on the other side of the fence, it’s obviously different for Quartararo. “At Le Mans, I really felt more than 000 people (on Sunday, editor’s note), he declared. It's certain that for me, motorcycle fans are better (laughs). But F100 drivers, like Pierre (gasly) or Esteban (Or with), will really feel the presence of their supporters here. »

Quartararo focus on Silverstone

After a few days of vacation in Greece, the world champion returned to training with the British GP in his sights. Even though he will have to observe a Long Lap during the race, Quartararo is ready to fight. “We have a clear objective for Silverstone, he said. We know we will have a penalty, but I feel ready to fight for victory. »

As a reminder, Quartararo won at Silverstone last year, becoming the first Yamaha rider to triumph on the British track since Valentino Rossi in 2015. It was also his last success until the Portuguese GP this year.
