Just a few days after the Italian GP, the drivers of the MotoGP returned to the track on the Barcelona circuit. Alex Rins set the first benchmark of the weekend in 1’40.101. The Spaniard is a little less than two tenths ahead of a Maverick Viñales in great shape on the handlebars of his Aprilia RS-GP.
Third, Franco Morbidelli places the first Yamaha in the hierarchy ahead of Aleix Espargaro and the Hondas of Pol Espargaro, Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Marquez. Miguel Oliveira is eighth on his KTM while Joan Mir and Enea Bastianini complete the Top 10 in FP1.

In the French clan, Johann Zarco occupies 11th position, just under 1s behind Rins and fabio quartararo is currently 13th; Raul Fernandez having inserted himself between the two compatriots.
Note the 14th place of Francesco Bagnaia and the 18th of his teammate Jack Miller. It's a difficult start for the official Ducati clan.
