Suzuki could leave MotoGP at the end of the 2022 season

According to our sources, Suzuki should leave the MotoGP at the end of 2022. At the moment, there is no official confirmation of this withdrawal. The Hamamatsu firm already did a similar thing in 2011, a consequence of the 2008 financial crisis, before making its return in 2015.

This is news that surprised everyone on Monday evening, starting with the members of the staff and the drivers who would have only learned of this decision today, but also because the manufacturer signed last year the extension of its commitment with Dorna (promoter of the championship) until 2026.

In any case, the MotoGP grid for 2023 risks being completely turned upside down. fabio quartararo, in discussions with Suzuki among others, could ultimately continue at Yamaha and Joan Mir, 2020 world champion, could for her part join Honda. As for Alex Rins, co-leader of the general after Portimão, the future is now uncertain.

To be continued!
