Sylvain, why did you decide this year to participate in the world championship ofEndurance ?
It’s something that happened naturally. In 2017, I started participating in the Suzuka 8 Hours with the Suzuki Yoshimura team. This is a very important event for Japanese manufacturers. A victory at Suzuka is probably more important for them than a world title. My participation in this race was linked to my test driver program MotoGP. This year, there was a rapprochement between SERT, the historic official team of Suzuki in Endurance, and Yoshimura who only competed in the Japanese round of this championship. Quite naturally, I was asked to join this new structure. I immediately accepted, because I had dreamed of participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
