  • Maverick Vinales confirmed an excellent Friday by taking pole position for the Valencia Grand Prix with a record time of 1:28.931.
  • The Aprilia rider deprives Francesco Bagnaia of fully enjoying his revenge on Jorge Martín. Author of excellent work in Q1 – from which he came out with the best time – the Italian will start second in the Sprint, therefore maintaining all his chances of being crowned this Saturday.
  • A result synonymous with a psychological blow dealt to his rival for the championship, Jorge Martín, whose joy is undoubtedly no longer the same as last night when he could still hope that Bagnaia would not appear in the first four lines.
  • The No. 89 tried everything, but missed his last attempt to finish the session with the 6th fastest time. On the other side of the Pramac garage, Johann Zarco achieved an excellent Qualification and placed third, confirming that he has serious chances of a podium this weekend. It remains to be hoped for the Habs that it does not sacrifice its result to play the team's game.
  • The KTMs of Jack Miller and Brad Binder are the two other machines to slot themselves between the two title contenders with 4th and 5th places respectively.
  • For his last with Honda, Marc Marquez managed to take 9th position on the starting grids for the weekend, just ahead of his brother Alex who set the 8th fastest time after getting out of Q1.
  • Marco Bezzecchi (7th) and Raul Fernandez (10th) complete the top 10.
  • The poor start to Saturday from Enea Bastianini (14th) could complicate Bagnaia's task. No. 1 will probably have to do without the help of his teammate. The Italian places himself just in front fabio quartararo whose Yamaha will start from 15th place.
  • Meet at 15:00 p.m. to follow the Valencia Grand Prix Sprint from MotoGP, Bagnaia's first match point to fold the championship.
