Yamaha and Pramac unveil their liveries and refine their joint project

Few changes to Yamaha's 2025 livery. @Yamaha

It's a world champion team that arrives at Yamaha. Crowned in 2023 in the team classification, then last year in the riders' classification thanks to Jorge Martin, Pramac left the Ducati fold to join Yamaha. Gone are the formidable Ducati Desmosedici, here come the Yamaha M1s.

If the move from the best bike on the grid to fourth (out of five) may raise questions, it is a sign of the confidence that Pramac places in Yamaha, crowned only four years ago with fabio quartararo. The Niçois is still there, with his teammate Alex Rins. The two men presented their new livery to the world this Friday with very few changes. Blue is still as dominant as ever, like the Monster logo on the side.

"Our goal is clear: Yamaha wants to return to the top." announces Paolo Pavesio, Lin Jarvis' replacement at the head of Yamaha. “In 2025 we will have two Yamaha Factory Racing teams in MotoGP who will work closely together. We didn’t just need a second team, we needed the best team: our new partner Pramac Racing. Pramac is not a satellite team, but a partner whose contribution is crucial to achieving our common goals. Pramac is fully committed to being a key player in Yamaha’s return to the top of MotoGP, and we believe they will help us accelerate the process.”

Pramac and Yamaha ambitious

Arriving at Yamaha, Pramac completely changed its rider duo: Jorge Martin left for Aprilia and Franco Morbidelli for VR46. In their place arrived Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira, whose role will be to assist the factory team in its quest to return to the top by participating in the development of the bike. Fabio Quartararo had been calling for the return of a second Yamaha team in recent months to help speed up the process. The Nice rider was finally listened to and can rejoice in the arrival of a team that was world champion two years ago.

“Being selected as a partner by Yamaha is confirmation of the hard work our team has put in over the past few seasons.” rejoices Paolo Campinoti, the boss of Pramac. “Yamaha is demonstrating a strong desire to return to the top of MotoGP, as demonstrated by the improved performances in the last races of the last World Championship. The opportunity to redouble our efforts on track will help us close the gap more quickly. The deep and open collaboration at all levels, as well as the common vision that we have started to develop in these first weeks, fills me with optimism for the future.”

The Pramac riders will ride a motorcycle tinted with Yamaha's blue and its historic purple. Also note the presence of the arrowed A ofAlpine, Pramac’s partner.
