This weekend, the Rally Rouergue Rodez Aveyron Occitanie hosts the third round of the Trophy Alpine A290 Rally. AUTOhebdo is participating in the event and will bring it to you from the inside, as if you were there!
Since the start of the season, some unusual vehicles have been featured in certain rounds of the French Rally Championship. Indeed, the Trophy Alpine The A290 Rallye, featuring 100% electric vehicles, has joined the SMRC4, SMRC6, and Clio Trophy France series among the French Championship Cups. Prior to this, a "Prologue Rally" was held last November in Buzançais, Indre, allowing Melvin Rabilloud and Enzo Mahinc to win an exceptional prize package for a French Championship rally, specifically the 2026 Antibes Côte d'Azur Rally, driving a... Alpine A110 RGT. Now, the Trophy Alpine The A290 Rally is a competition held over the same rounds as the Clio Trophy France and comprises six events on the calendar. This weekend, Rodez will host the third round of the season after Le Touquet, where Rabilloud and Mahinc once again emerged victorious, and the Vosges Grand Est, won this time by Aymeric Lenoir and Florian Hosson.

AUTOhebdo will bring you this third round in an unusual way. Indeed, after Julien Ingrassia and Emma Bonnemort at the Vosges Grand Est Rally, who were able to participate in the race driving theAlpine A290 VIP Rally: this time, it's our turn to take the wheel. Pierre Barré, rally journalist at AUTOhebdo, will be teamed up with the experienced Gilles de Turckheim, and the two men will be tasked with giving you an inside look at this new competition. Starting this Wednesday, July 08th, they will participate in the rally reconnaissance, followed by the Shakedown and press conference on Thursday, before the rally officially kicks off on Friday, July 09th, with two special stages to be run six times. Their rally will conclude on Saturday, July 10th, with seven special stages, including three loops of two stages, followed by a run through the Rodez Super Special Stage at the end of the day.
