The French Rally Championship 2nd Division opens this weekend in Grasse

The Rallye du Pays de Grasse Fleurs & Parfums, taking place this weekend, will kick off the French Rally Championship 2nd Division. The event also counts towards the French Historic Rally Championship.

The French Rally Championship 2nd Division opens this weekend in Grasse

After the first division, it's time for the second. This weekend, the 67th edition of the Rally The Pays de Grasse Fleurs & Parfums Rally will open the French Rally Championship 2nd Division and will also host the second round of the French Historic Rally Championship. While counting towards qualification for the 2026 French Rally Cup Final (Remiremont), the event is also the fourth round of the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Motorsport League Championship, which has already included the Roches Brunes Rally, the Vaison-la-Romaine Rally, and the Haute-Provence Rally in recent weeks. For this 2026 edition, the Pays de Grasse Fleurs & Parfums Rally welcomes 74 modern crews, 28 historic crews, as well as 30 historic regularity vehicle crews and 11 modern regularity vehicle crews. The rally will begin this Friday, April 03rd, in the afternoon with a first loop of three special stages.

An exceptional route on the Rallye du Pays de Grasse Fleurs & Parfums

The highlight of this Rallye du Pays de Grasse Fleurs & Parfums will be the Col de Bleine, which will be crossed twice on Saturday, April 04th, as well as a special stage that will traverse the legendary Aiglun gorges and a series of 7 kilometers that haven't been used in competition for many years. In total, six special stages will be run on the second day of the rally before returning to Grasse for the finish ceremony. Among the entrants are Jordan Berfa and Benjamin Gary, driving the... Hyundai The i20N R5s, bearing number 1, are entered in the French Championship 2nd Division round. They will face stiff competition from local drivers Julien Pontal and Amandine Urbanetti (Citroën C3 Rally2), as well as the duo Frédérik Casciani and Stéphane Peyronel (Škoda Fabia R5), to name just a few. In the Historic Rally Championship (VHC), keep a close eye on, among others, Anthony Fotia and William Hanocq, who are entered in the...
