The public had already turned out in large numbers to attend the launch of the rally from Hungary which is one of three to run on earth in the calendar of theERC 2025. Road position being very important on this surface due to the sweeping, this exercise had to be taken very seriously. The lack of a real favorite made this qualification interesting, as it would help determine who would be to watch during this weekend.
Competing in the ERC for the first time, Roope Korhonen set the fastest time. With his Yaris Rally2, the Finn beat regulars in this competition: Andrea Mabellini (Fabia), Jon Armstrong (Fiesta) and Simone Tempestini (Fabia). Last year's winner on this course, the latter hopes to do the double. With these four crews having completed the 6 km of this section of Hajmasker grouped together in less than 2 seconds, the battle promises to be tight.
Au 5e In the rank, Isak Reiersen (Fabaia) was a nice surprise for the young Swede. He did better than much more experienced boys like Mikolaj Marczyk (Fabia, 6e), Mads Ostberg (C3, 7e) or Miklos Csomos who was returning to competition (C3, 8e). Discovering this ordeal and having few reference points on earth Jos Verstappen (Fabia) settled for the 16e place. The Dutchman will be one of the first drivers to take off tomorrow on the opening day.
Consisting of 7 special stages, the first stage is 108,65 km long. It is divided into 7 special stages, the first of which (2,05 km) will take place in the early evening.
