After a sunny first stage, it was once again under a clear blue sky that the competitors set off for the last day of this 81e rally from Poland, 4e handle of theERC 2025.
Leading the race almost from the start, Martins Sesks had a quiet Sunday, only marked by a visit to a field following a tight bend. Luckily for him, there were no obstacles in the grass and he was able to calmly resume his line. Already having a margin of just over 21'' over Roope Korhonen, the Latvian was able to slow down after the Finn's crash (SS10). Previous winner in Poland in 2023, Sesks confirms that he appreciates these types of roads with this new success. Since the start of the season, he is the 4e different winner in this championship in 2025 and he is also the 3e After Nikolay Gryazin (Sierra Morena) and Eyvind Brynildsen (Sweden), who won without any claim to the title, the battle for the latter still involves several candidates.
Unable to compete with Sesks, Roope Korhonen chose to position himself just behind the Baltic in order to score as many points as possible. His tactic worked until SS10, when he rolled and had to retire. The Finn can blame himself, because his mistake opened the way for Mikolaj Marczyk. In front of his home crowd, the Pole immediately moved into third place.e provisional podium, but he didn't have the speed to do better. Korhonen's withdrawal allows him to collect points and take the championship lead. He is ahead of Jon Armstrong, who was excellent with the team's Fiesta M-SportOften fast, the Englishman finally managed to avoid mistakes. Armstrong was not threatened, but Isak Reiersen put in another strong performance after his podium finish in Sweden. Unlucky with a broken turbo on Saturday, Mads Ostberg pulled off an interesting operation by staying in the race for the crown. Marked by the disappearance of his compatriot Matteo Doretto before the event, Andrea Mabellini still reached the end of the rally.
The next round will take place in Rome (July 4-7) and will begin a cycle of 4 events on asphalt.
