Tristan Charpentier will tackle the top category of the European Rally Championship at the wheel of a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 from the Orsák Rally Sport team in 2026.

Tristan Charpentier is stepping up his game in the ERC

Tristan Charpentier takes a step forward by joining the Rally1 category of the European Rally Championship (ERCTo do so, he swapped his Ford Fiesta Rally3 for a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, run by the Czech team Orsák Rally Sport. Following a stellar 2025 season in ERC3, highlighted by a class victory, 87 points scored, and 20 stage wins, Tristan Charpentier is now aiming for the top of the European rally pyramid.

To support him in this climb, he can count on the experience of his new co-driver, Loris Pascaud. Having already worked alongside Pierre-Louis Loubet and Charles Munster, the Frenchman will bring all his expertise to bear throughout the season.

Tristan Charpentier has already tested his new mount during the Rally Kowax Valašská ValMez in the Czech Republic at the end of March. For this full-scale test, he finished 13th overall, hampered by a tire problem. This test also allowed the new Franco-French duo to fine-tune their approach before getting down to serious business in Andalusia.

« I am very happy to be making the step up to Rally2 with Škoda and such a professional team as Orsák. the French pilot rejoices. With Loris, the Škoda, and the Michelin tires, we have a solid package for my first season at this level. I'm eager to start our collaboration, build momentum, and learn how to drive the car. Our program will include the Sierra Morena, Sweden, and Rome. We'll then see about the rest of the ERC season depending on the budget, as well as a few rounds in WRC2. It's shaping up to be a great year, and I can't wait to get started. "A 2026 season that the French duo will launch at the 43rd edition of the Sierra Morena Rally (Andalusia), scheduled from April 17 to 19.
