Rally Youth is back! The detection program, created by the French Motor Sports Federation (FFSA) in 1994, returns for its 26th edition. This year, the Rallye Jeunes tour will visit five different circuits throughout France, starting at the end of September. On the program: detections at the Chambley circuit (September 24-25), at the Actua circuit Karting of Lyon (October 1-2), at the West Parisian circuit (November 5-6), at the Lédenon circuit (November 19-20) and at the Var circuit (December 3-4).

Like every season, the first part of the detections will take place on a short winding route, aboard a Peugeot 208 Rally2. The candidates, FFSA licensed or not, will perform a slalom punctuated by a half-turn on the handbrake. Those who manage to complete the course in the allotted time will then compete on a longer and more technical route. Each day, the six fastest drivers will be qualified for the national final which will take place from December 6 to 9, 2022. To participate in the Youth Rallies detection, you only need to be aged 18 to 25, to hold the B license and have French nationality. Registration for the selections costs 20 euros.

Youth Rally detection for returning co-drivers

This 26th edition will also see the return of the co-driver selections, absent last year. The candidates will be subjected to different tests: taking and reading notes, tests on rally knowledge, interviews, etc. The best will be selected to take part in the national final alongside the selected drivers. To participate, you must be aged 18 to 35 and be licensed (or have been licensed) with the FFSA.

At the end of the National Final, a pilot winner and a co-pilot winner will be crowned. They will join the FFSA Youth Rally team within the Stellantis Motorsports Rally Cup in 2023. The pair will benefit from high-level preparation orchestrated by the FFSA Academy teams. After crowning champions like Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier et Adrien fourmaux, who will succeed Tom Pellerey and Hugo Roch, Rallye Jeunes winners in 2021? Answer in December!
