Around Langres, Jean-Marie Cuoq won with relative ease at the wheel of a Peugeot 307 WRC. If, this time, he contested the Rally Terre de Cardabelles at the wheel of a Peugeot 206 WRC, that did not prevent him from remaining dominant.

Despite a 20-second penalty received for a delay, he finished with a more than comfortable lead of 2:51:9 over Dominique Bruyneel (Subaru S5 WRC), who managed not to make a mistake to finish in second place. . The Belgian driver, leader of the championship and powerless against Cuoq, nevertheless secured the points which allow him to remain at the top of the Gravel Rally rankings.

« We had a lot of fun, declared Cuoq at the end of the Rally. These are great specials, I am pleasantly surprised by their qualities. A beautiful weekend with very good organization. I am happy. » For his part, Dominique Bruyneel, second, is happy to finish in second place, undoubtedly the only place achievable this weekend. “ We quickly understood that it was not possible to go and find Jean Marie. We always had to look behind in terms of times and not make mistakes. Good operation this weekend for the championship but we will still have to be at the finish in Vaucluse to secure the title? » The title will in fact be decided during the Rallye Terre du Vaucluse, the weekend of November 14 and 15.
