New things to come for Manu Guigou!

Manu Guigou will start the Rally Aveyron Rouergue, fifth round of the French Rally Championship. Currently first in the traction and Group N rankings, the Automeca driver will aim to consolidate his position. “It’s always a very difficult rally”, reminds Manu. ?It?s as demanding for the mechanics as it is for the crew. This event is doing quite well for us with a group victory in the Mégane RS N4 in 2012 and success in the Twingo R2 France Trophy in 2013.”

As before each rally, and for all Automeca cars, the Mégane RS N4 will be prepared by the team under the direction of Jean-Michel Astier. “It is necessary to have good settings. The roads are bumpy, you need a well-suspended car. Damping is a determining parameter. It is also an event that requires durable tires. We will be able to count on the advantage that Pirelli represents in these conditions. »

The only run before the start, the shakedown will allow Manu Guigou to regain his bearings in the Mégane RS N4 after winning the New Caledonia Rally (APRC) in a Clio RS R3. “I have already won at Rouergue with the Mégane RS N4. I will work as I do with all Automeca customers. We will start with the settings that suit this road profile. Experience will allow us to quickly get into the game. And as the course does not seem to have changed much since last year, we will be on familiar ground. »

After this visit to Rodez, Manu Guigou will return to Nouméa. Double Champion of New Caledonia (overall and 2-wheel drive), he will defend his title in 2014. Already leader of the Championship after his scratch victory at the New Caledonia Rally, he will be at the start of the Kouaoua Rally with the Clio RS R3 Maxi of Team Visa Location Groupe Jeandot in the colors of Automeca.
