Since 2004 and their first clash in the French Championship at the Michelin Trophy, these two strong-willed drivers have gone from rivals to friends. They revisit a duel that has lasted for just over twenty years!

Gentlemen! You've been competing against each other for many years in the French Rally Championship. How would you describe your rivalry?

Patrick Rouillard: It's the privilege of age! After a while, you stop asking yourself the same questions. Eric and I know we won't be world champions. We ride for fun. This fight is healthy because there's mutual respect.

Eric MAuffrey : Patrick said it all. (Laughs) I would like to add that at the beginning of our duel, at the time of the Toyota Celica GT-Four and the 306 Maxi, it was war. We were like two boxers in the octagon, in MMA mode.
