Pierre Ragues on a Skoda at the Rallye de la Côte Fleurie

The French driver, who won the title in ELMS with Signatech-Alpine in 2013, will follow in the footsteps of many circuit drivers who try their hand at rally. Pierre's co-driver for this race, counting for the French Rally Cup, will be his father, Marcel Ragues, a true enthusiast who took part in numerous road events in the 80s. And an additional factor of pleasure for the duo, the rally will take place in their native region, making this event particularly exciting.

There will be four different special stages for a total of ten special stages, including a night Super Special on Friday February 21, which will take place in front of the Deauville Casino on the Lais de Mer. A total of 120km of timed sections spread over two days , which will begin on Friday with a 4.7km special followed by 9 specials on Saturday. The closed park and nerve center of the rally is located in front of the Casino in Trouville sur Mer.

Pierre and Marcel have already raced together during the Tour de France Auto Classic, a race in which they have already participated twice, Pierre for his part was also able to officiate on the roads of the Côte Fleurie as a 0 year car last where he was driving a Nissan GTR.

“I’m really looking forward to this great event with my dad by my side,” comments the 30-year-old Frenchman. ?It?s a special rally for us because it takes place in our native region so it?s quite special for us. Having the chance to take part in a Skoda Fabia S2000 is incredible and very exciting. This will be my first rally as a competitor after participating as a zero car last year and the two previous editions. We raced twice in the Tour de France Auto Classic and my father also did several rallies when he was younger. There are ten special stages in total including the Friday evening super special which will take place on the Lais de Mer in Deauville and the parc ferme is positioned in front of the Trouville Casino. It promises to be a great show and I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun. It is important to regain a competitive spirit before the first race of the 2014 season."
