Pierre Roché wins at Rouergue

Le Rally du Rouergue will have experienced many adventures. Dany Snobeck (Citroën C4 WRC) was the first leader of the event before going off the road in the first stage. Jean Michel Da Cunha (Citroën Xsara WRC) then regained the lead of the rally, but Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza) managed to take the advantage over the Citroën.

However, while the two leaders were fighting for victory, they both suffered a puncture in the Olemps-Moyrazes-Colombies special stage (SS9). Eric Brunson finally failed to reach the podium, seven seconds behind Ludovic Gal, who placed third in the event on his Peugeot 207 S2000.

Jean-Michel Da Cunha finished fifth ahead of the Citroën DS3 of Marc Amourette. Patrick Rouillard is seventh in the event in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X ahead of Jean-Charles Beaubelique (Peugeot 207 S2000) and Julian Carret (Citroën DS3). Cédric Robert completes the top ten in his Citroën DS3.
