Quentin Giordano, one of the most appreciated and respected drivers on the French scene, is retiring from competition. The French Rally Champion ends his career at the highest level before the start of the season.

The Nancy pilot confided in our colleagues from the Eastern Republican in order to clarify the circumstances which led him to make this decision. The recent death of his uncle Joël Vigneron propelled him to the management of the family transport group. An assumption of responsibility unfortunately incompatible with high-level competition.

“When did this tragedy and Joël’s disappearance occur? (in December 202 editor’s note), I immediately thought of the things that were essential to him: his family and especially his businesses. confides Quentin Giordano. His companies were his life. He was not married and had no children. What its employees stood for was also very important. We especially didn't want to leave them in the dark. His work had to be followed up. This is how I naturally took charge of the group.”

Quentin therefore made the decision in less than a month to hang up his helmet and wetsuit to courageously embark on this new entrepreneurial challenge with naturally, for someone who is occasionally a ski instructor, a well-trodden trajectory. “Giving continuity to what my uncle had created after taking over my grandfather's business in 1987. In the end, it is a group of 450 employees, but which operates with family values”.

France from Rally loses one of its greatest talents. A boy of deep humility and infinite passion who touched the holy grail at the age of 36 with this title of French Champion obtained with Sarrazin Motorsport. As a good enthusiast, however, he does not completely close the door to an occasional return: “Maybe I’ll get back into a car one day, but it will be for fun.”

Thank you for these wonderful years of automobile passion Quentin and good luck in this new and exciting adventure. Always keep this line of conduct which made you the great champion that we will all regret at the start of this new rally season.
