Rally France – Quentin Gilbert to his advantage in Le Touquet

Apart from his puncture on SS2 and his little setbacks at the end of rally, with a little scare in SS13, Quentin Gilbert was always in the rhythm of the winner Julien Maurin, who offered a new victory in the French Rally Championship to the Ford Fiesta RS WRC from Team 2B Yacco. “For our first participation at the wheel of a World Rally Car, this is a result we hardly dared to dream of! For me, the C4 is truly a car apart, because this model dominated the WRC with Sébastien Loeb when I competed in my first rallies! Being behind the wheel gave me an indescribable pleasure, and I felt more and more at ease as the stages progressed. While still feeling that I had a lot of room for improvement, I really had the feeling of dominating the car. » explains the Citroën C4 driver who notably achieved a superb time on the fog-stained SS5.

Quentin Gilbert finished as the best performer on the Nordic roads with six scratch times, tied with Maurin. The 2014 season will continue in particular in WRC-2, where he is entered in a Ford Fiesta R5 from M-Sport. For his first outing in Mexico, Gilbert was forced to retire due to radiator damage.
