Attention the Haut-Alpins! After his victory in Sardinia and before approaching the Rally from Finland, Sébastien Ogier will take advantage of the summer holidays WRC to participate in the Autocross of Saint-Laurent du Cros, on July 13 and 14. For the second year in a row, the Volkswagen Motorsport driver will take the wheel of a buggy.

“I am happy once again to participate in this race,” comments Sébastien Ogier, the sponsor of the event. “It will be an opportunity to meet friends who take part in this discipline, and to meet fans from the Hautes-Alpes. Many of them attended the event last year and I hope that, this time too, they will come in large numbers! »

As a good competitor, the Gapençais driver has the firm intention of giving the regulars of the discipline a hard time and is counting on a car that is a little more efficient than the one he had last year: “My buggy has received small improvements, in particular a new engine. It should be more powerful and I hope that I will be able to fight against the best in the category, unlike last year, when my buggy lacked horsepower. »

Julien Ingrassia was also supposed to liven up the weekend by taking part in the Sprint-Car event, but his recent shoulder injury forced him to withdraw in order to concentrate on his recovery in preparation for the Rally Finland.
