« The Peugeot 208 Racing is an easy car to drive, very dynamic and very fun, says Yoann Bonato, five-time French Rally Champion. It suits all driver profiles and I have always enjoyed driving it during my development sessions. "And Léo Rossel added: " This is a real car rally, which gives a feeling of security and allows you to concentrate on driving and taking notes. The Peugeot 208 Racing will run exclusively on super ethanol-E85, which will significantly reduce CO2 emissions, estimated at 30% according to a study by IFPEN (IFP Energies Nouvelles), as well as significantly reducing the petrol budget (estimated at 40% of petrol costs compared to SP98, according to the rates in force in France in 2024). Cost reduction is also expressed in an approach focused on sustainability. The choice of materials, components and standard parts for the Peugeot 208 Racing follows the demanding quality standards applied to Stellantis Motorsport projects in Rally4 and Rally2. The Peugeot 208 Racing will be powered by a 3-cylinder turbo engine developing 145 horsepower (depending on the version, the engine power may vary) and a total unladen weight of only 1 kilograms.
