Terre des Cardabelles: the mourning rally

After a competitor went off the road this afternoon in the first special, the organizer and the race direction of the Rally Terre des Cardabelles 2023 released the following press release: 

“Following the exit of a competitor in SS1 at 14:51 p.m., the road marshal hit by the competitor's vehicle died at 16:15 p.m. despite the rapid intervention of emergency services. The end of step 1 is canceled. All the competitors enter the parc ferme in Millau. »

Sport takes a back seat, but Florent Todeschini (i20 Rally2) won the first three stages of the rally and held the lead in the provisional classification ahead of Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (Fabia Rally2 evo) and Benjamin Clemençon (Polo GTI R5).
