What a day on the roads of Var!
Eric Camilli (i20 N Rally2-Team Bonneton HDG-2C Compétition) showed a strong pace this morning and took the lead in the rally after SS 5. But a puncture in the following special stage cost him around forty seconds. He was relegated to fifth place before gaining a place at the end of the stage. Camilli occupies the first place in the Michelin Rally2 Trophy.
Léo Rossel (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil) took advantage of his opponent's setbacks to take control of the rally. The PH Sport driver managed this long day perfectly before signing a scratch in the final time trial of this second stage.
Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-Trajectus Motorsport) is well placed in Rossel's wake with 8,4 seconds after this intense day.
Back for a stint in the French Championship, Mathieu Franceshi (Fabia RS Rally2) occupies provisional third place ahead of a Camilli who is unleashed at the idea of getting on the podium tomorrow at the end of the morning.
Lying in ambush, Anthony Fotia (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Academy GT2i) completed the Top 5 after a spin in SS 10.

In 2WD, Cédric Robert (A110 Rally-Team Bonneton HDG-2C Compétition) made the break on Ludovic Godard at the end of the stage. The 2WD Champion title is getting closer for Robert.
In the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup, Valentin Ascenzi (208 Rally4) now has a lead of more than 39 seconds over Pablo Sarrazin (208 Rally4), who is well on his way to winning the Junior title.
Gregory Fontalba (A110 Rally) is firmly attached to first place in the Trophy Alpine Elf Rally.
