34 crews entered in the Safari Rally

From June 21 to 26, the players in the world championship WRC ont rendez-vous avec l’une des rallyes les plus iconiques du calendrier. 34 équipages figurent sur la liste des engagés de cette épreuve qui reste très spécifique même si elle a nécessairement dû s’adapter aux contraintes modernes. Hyundai will align Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak et Oliver Solberg. Dans une course où la régularité jouera un rôle important, le Suédois aura peut-être l’occasion de signer un bon résultat qui contrasterait avec un début de saison moyen. Chez Toyota, Kalle Rovanperä le leader du championnat et Elfyn Evans seront rejoints par Sébastien Ogier qui visera la passe de deux après son succès de 2021. Enfin, M-Sport sera de nouveau l’équipe la plus représentée avec des autos pour Craig Breen, Adrien fourmaux, Fergus Greensmith and Sébastien Loeb who will return to Kenya after 20 years of absence. Belgian-Greek driver Jourdan Sederidis will also be present with a Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 completing this category.

In WRC2, the Pole Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Skoda Fabia Rally2) will have the opportunity to score big points against Martin Prokop (Ford Fiesta) and Sean Johnston (Citroën C3) who will compete within the Sainteloc team. The list is made up of several local competitors who will take advantage of their experience on this terrain to stand out from the crowd. Taking up many sections from last year, the organizers are offering a 363,56 km timed course with 19 special stages.
