The two young drivers won the title of best Junior of the Clio Trophy France Asphalt (for Pelamourgues) and Gravel (for Pellerey). As in previous years, where Alpine Racing offered its winners programs in a higher category, they will move from the Clio Rally5 to the Rally3. Arthur Pelamourgues has already been able to discover his new mount in the context of a round of the World Championship, since he won the Rally Monte Carlo in January with a five-minute lead over his closest pursuer.

The driver, partnered with Bastien Pouget, will take part in three additional rounds, the Canary Islands Rally, the Portugal Rally and finally the legendary Rally Finland, in order to perfect his knowledge and preparation for gravel rallies, which have made up a large majority of the world calendar in recent years. "We felt a certain excitement since our title in Clio Trophy France Asphalte, but everything took on another dimension when this project in the World Rally Championship started to come to fruition. It's both impressive and exciting", he explained. "We never imagined we would get to this point by launching ourselves into the trophy. We were able to discover what awaits us by competing in the Monte-Carlo and we will continue to approach each special stage with the same rigor, working on the smallest detail with Bastien, whether on a technical, physical or mental level. The objective will be to progress with each round, particularly on gravel, where we still lack experience, while perfecting the asphalt to reach the level we are aiming for."

Tom Pellerey, winner of the Rallye Jeunes in 2021 and who is teaming up with Hervé Faucher, will take the wheel of the Clio Rally3 for the first time at Terre des Causses in April, before joining Arthur Pelamourgues on the events in Portugal and Finland in WRC3. “It’s a childhood dream to go to the World Rally Championship with the support of a manufacturer and I feel a lot of desire as this program approaches. I still have a little trouble taking it in, but it’s a nice surprise rewarding our efforts, our sacrifices and the support of our partners. We have deepened our usual preparation to approach this campaign in the best conditions, with two to three sports sessions per week, video sessions and sophrology exercises to optimize our performance in competition. I am also trying to learn as much as possible about Renault Clio Rally3 before discovering it.

Both cars will be entered by Fun Meca Sport, with the official support ofAlpine Racing.
