Thursday, December 5, the announcement that had been brewing for a while in the park of WRC was made official. It was thus confirmed thatAdrien fourmaux and Alexandre Coria had just been recruited by Hyundai for the 2025 season. Before they could really turn to this new chapter, two obligations still appeared on the agenda of the two men.
As bizarre as it may seem at this point in the season, and given current events, how should we interpret the two-day test session scheduled in the north of England by the team? M-Sport around the… Ford Fiesta Rally2? Was it a punishment to make them “pay” for their departure? Was it necessary to exploit the driver’s talent until the last moment at the risk of coming up against a legitimate lack of motivation? As good professionals and in order to have nothing to reproach themselves for, the French carried out this task without complaining despite calamitous weather. Furthermore, one should never insult the future, because there is nothing to say that the paths of these two parties will not cross again one day.
