Struggling since the start of the season, Kalle Rovanperä made a spectacular comeback on a surface where he was not expected. Quickly ridding the Hyundais, the Finn put in an impressive performance to dominate his teammates. He's now back in the championship.

In the Canary Islands, the Kalle Rovanperä volcano has (finally) awakened

Those who announced a little prematurely that Kalle Rovanperä was finished with the WRC, and that he was no longer motivated, are denouncing themselves. In the Canaries, the Nordic rider (see QR) put in a "masterclass", crushing his opponents from the first kilometers. As is often the case on clean and smooth special stages, the race was not thrilling, but the way in which the rider Toyota disgusted his rivals, and first and foremost his teammates, was the element to remember from the weekend.

Kalle Rovanperä's last image in the WRC before the Canaries was that of someone wanting to leave Kenya as quickly as possible.
