The Junior Champion WRC and Junior ERC 2014 Stéphane Lefebvre made his debut last weekend in the DS3 WRC seat, during the Rally from Germany, who crowned Volkswagen and Sébastien Ogier.
Tenth at the finish on a terrain he knew little about (only one participation last year), the Frenchman knew how to avoid the pitfalls to deliver a performance free from any major errors, and conclude this first outing in 10th place, with a first WRC point up for grabs.
“We progressed throughout the stages and we reduced the gap on the reference crews. I'm really happy to finish this race having gained so much experience." commented Lefebvre who also won over his boss Yves Matton, director of Citroën Racing.
“Stéphane Lefebvre completed a race that surprised many. He followed the instructions that we had communicated to him to the letter and the overall result exceeds our expectations. His times and split times are very interesting, which encourages us to support him in his progress. »
Another round of the WRC World Championship is still on the program for Stéphane Lefebvre who could perform in particular on the roads of the Tour de Corse at the beginning of October.
