Over a distance of 4,31 kilometers, the pilots carried out their first reconnaissance before the big start of the Rally of Catalonia, which will be given this Friday morning at 8:43 a.m. On the road to Col de la Teixeta, Sébastien Ogier was the fastest, completing his third pass in 2'33″6. The seven-time world champion WRC ahead of Elfyn Evans by only two hundredths. The winner of the last edition, Thierry Neuville, achieves the third time (2'34) of this Shakedown at the wheel of his Hyundai i20 WRC and is a short head ahead of his teammate, Dani Sordo (2'34″2). “We’re going to try to get back here, that’s the goal. The roads are superb here and we will try to have fun” reacted the Belgian driver after his first pass.
Ott Tänak needed a fourth pass to set his personal best time (2'34″4). The 2019 world champion is placed in fifth position ahead of Kalle Rovanperä (+0″4). Victim of a slight spin during his first pass, Adrien fourmaux is 7th in this Shakedown (2'34″9) ahead of his teammate, Gus Greensmith (+0″1). Katsuta Takamoto (2'35″1), Nil Solans (2'36″1) and Oliver Solberg (2'36″3) complete this ranking.
