Cédric Cherain in the lead at the Rallye du Condroz

Citroëns are celebrating on the Belgian roads of Rally du Condroz. The cars from the chevron brand showed themselves to their advantage this Saturday, headlined by Cédric Chérain and his DS3 WRC.

The Belgian, despite a problem with the headlight strip, quickly rose to the forefront of the event, initially facing Kris Princen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5), defending champion, who will lose big in a puncture in the second pass in Marchin.

It is finally Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën DS3 R5) who concludes the first stage in second position, but more than half a minute behind Chérain. David Bonjean places his Citroën C4 WRC in third position and precedes the Ford Fiesta R5 of Xavier Baugnet.

Entered for the first time in a DS3 WRC, Yves Matton, boss of Citroën Racing, rises to 5th place. Yvan muller (Citroën DS3 R5) finished this Saturday stage in eighth position, more than four minutes behind.
