With almost a minute ahead after the first stage, Cedric Cherain had dealt a first blow to his adversaries on the roads of Rally du Condroz in Belgium. The driver of the Citroën DS3 WRC, rid of the threat Kris Princen yesterday, almost only had to control this Sunday against the Citroën DS3 R5 of Stéphane Lefebvre.
Cherain, however, did not let up his efforts, winning the majority of the scratch times to finish with a lead of more than 1'30 over Lefebvre and pocket his first success in this event. David Bonjean (Citroën C4 WRC) completes the podium ahead of Xavier Baugnet (Ford Fiesta) and Yves matton, boss of Citroën Racing who was lined up in a Citroën DS3 WRC, and was in the fight this morning for the podium. Yvan muller, who drove a Citroën DS3 R5 for the occasion, finished eleventh.
