Ott Tänak managed to take five points back from his teammate Thierry Neuville, but the Belgian driver approaches the last two rounds of the championship with a 29-point lead over the 2019 world champion. If Neuville had a first match point this weekend in Chile, he will have a better chance of making it happen during the Rally from Central Europe. With the twelve points from Super Sunday, Sébastien Ogier loses little ground to the duo Hyundai, but the Frenchman will more than likely have to give up the 2024 crown.

In the constructors' championship, Toyota has recovered after Hyundai's hat-trick at Rally Greece. The Japanese manufacturer enters the final two rounds with a 17-point lead, and could therefore go for the title, although Hyundai will probably take the drivers' crown. The WRC2 championship is still very competitive, with Oliver Solberg failing to win this Rally Chile, which would have meant the title. The Swede enters the final two rounds with a twelve-point lead over Yohan Rossel, winner on Sunday, and fifteen over Sami Pajari. Solberg is unlikely to win, however, given that he has completed all seven of his championship-relevant rallies. Rossel and Pajari each have one to go, so it's a three-way battle at a distance that is looming.

Ogier 28 points from the lead! What if he finally decided to go for the title? It's perfectly playable!!

It's playable, but I would like Neuville to go for this title, after the multiple titles of vice champion, it would be great for him. Especially since an opportunity like this won't come around anytime soon, especially if Rovanperä returns for a full season in 2025. But Toyota can ask Ogier to win the title, since Evans is not in a good position. ...I wouldn't want to be in Welsh's place in this situation.
