For the fifth consecutive time since its return to the world calendar, the African event offered a breathtaking race. In a space that remains magical, the event was a thrilling experience, with situations that could only occur in this country.

Reading the general classification, it is easy to cry out about the domination of Toyota in Kenya. For the past four years, it's become a refrain, but don't think that Elfyn Evans (see following pages) enjoyed his safari. This is mainly due to a route that the organizers wanted to be more challenging than before.

The mileages announced would make the competitors of the Safaris of the golden age die laughing, and even those of the last "pre-world", in 2002. During its last registration in the world before disappearing for nineteen years, there were 1 km timed and special stages that went up to 010,80 km. More than two decades later, the total was "only" 106
