Ford presents aggressive Fiesta WRC

The yellow disappeared, the light green gave way to dark green but the Abu Dhabi red remained. Ford's 2011 WRC livery is intended to be more aggressive.

The Ford Fiesta WRC, qui doit succéder à la Focus WRC en Championnat du Monde des Rallyes, suit l?évolution logique des changements de sponsors de la marque. L?étendard de l?association Ford ? M-sport abandonne un peu de son vert aux couleurs de BP et reprend la teinte de Castrol ? qui appartient à BP. Le blanc fait son apparition sur les portes et sous les phares, alors que le rouge d?Abu Dhabi reste prédominant, confèrent un look agressif à cette WRC.

“We have a fully developed car with an eye-catching look,” explains Gerard Quinn, boss of Ford Europe. The whole team is looking forward to preparing for this season, with the Rally from Sweden which is getting closer. Ford and M-Sport worked effectively on this project. The goal was to make a car capable of winning the World Championship but also to reflect the “kinetic design” of our production cars. »

It is therefore from February 10 to 13 that the Ford Fiesta WRC 2011 will show its colors in the white snow of Sweden, notably against the Citroën DS3 WRC. Jari-Matti Latvala, Mikko Hirvonen and Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team will have the difficult mission of winning world titles which eluded them, by far, in 2010.
