After a year of operation, it became clear that the hybrid Rally1s were too expensive and that solutions had to be found to reduce costs. The one concerning the tests will have significant side effects on the young people and the running of the rallies.

The alarm had been triggered, but the WRC has even relied on cars that are expensive, far too expensive in the current situation and the place of the WRC on the media scene.
