Hayden Paddon working to return to a Ford Fiesta – M-Sport

Announced to pilot a third Ford Fiesta WRC in Finland last July, Hayden Paddon thought I had got one foot back into the concert of the WRC. But a road trip during testing, and a destroyed car, ruined the hopes of the New Zealander, who hoped to possibly stand out for 2020.

Not dejected however, despite the fact of having been barred by Gus Greensmith to replace Elfyn Evans in Germany, l’ancien pensionnaire du giron Hyundai garde confiance dans sa capacité à trouver une solution rapide.

The latter also chose to miss the recognitions of the Rally of Finland to start new discussions with partners. “ Je travaille d’arrache-pied pour préparer un package qui me permettra de revenir avec M-Sport et dans la Fiesta, says Paddon on the WRC website.

I will drive anywhere, at any event for the rest of the year. I just want the opportunity to show what I can do. I will do whatever it takes to be there.

I was very close to it in Finland and it really hurt that it ended like this. This will not be the end of my WRC adventure. I still have many years left and, as I said before Finland, I honestly believe that I have never driven as well or been as fit as I am today. »

Hayden Paddon's last round in the WRC dates back to Australia 2018, where the Kiwi took a convincing second place.
