The season WRC gets closer, and the stables are revealed. Hyundai is the first team to reveal its mount for 2023, again with the i20 N Rally1. No big changes to report, either on the car or on the livery. The Korean team retains its traditional colors, with sky blue, navy blue and red.

Hyundai aims for both titles in 2023

After a mixed 2022 season, with a 2nd place in the championship and 5 victories despite a catastrophic start to the championship, Hyundai is aiming for the title in 2023. Ott Tänak gone to M-Sport, the team will bet on Thierry Neuville, 3rd for the 2022 financial year. Esapekka Lappi will be the 2nd man for the team this season, while Craig Breen and Dani Sordo will share the third car.

« Last year was one of the most challenging for us as a team, but perhaps also one of the most rewarding, said Sean Kim, president of Hyundai Motorsport. We see 2023 as a continuation of the chapter we started in 2022. We have a competitive package with the i20 N Rally1 Hybrid, a set of crews hungry to fight for titles, and a team that is working hard behind the scenes, ready to continue her momentum from one season to the next. »

The objective announced by Hyundai is clear: win both championships in 2023. Thierry Neuville, who is still chasing a world title, says he is ready to take up the challenge. “The competition is going to be very tough again, but after a strong second half of 2022 for us, I think we can expect a more even fight during 2023,” declared the Belgian. First meeting of the season: Rally Monte-Carlo, from January 18 to 22.
