After Portugal and Sardinia, Dani Sordo will be at the start of a third rally consecutive with Hyundai. The Korean team will once again trust its third driver for the only African meeting on the calendar, the Safari Rally in Kenya (June 22-25). A logical and expected decision, after the Spaniard's good performance during the Rally of Portugal and his 2nd place at the finish.

A choice which also allows Hyundai more time to find a replacement for Craig Breen, who tragically died last April in reconnaissance before the Croatia Rally. The team led by Cyril Abiteboul prefers to rely on the experience of Dani Sordo during the next rounds on gravel, before making a decision for the asphalt rallies. Several avenues are possible for the identity of the replacement for the late Irish pilot. The French director would like to focus on youth and could draw on the vast reservoir of WRC2.
